Fishing After A Storm
Afternoon thunderstorms can dramatically effect the fishing the next morning. The influx of fresh water from creeks, river, and drainage pipes, along with a night of strong winds will not only stir up the water and make it dirty, but will also change it's salinity level. Fish are a lot like humans. We as humans don't like to breath dirty air and fish don't like to swim in dirty water. But like humans, fish will only travel as far as they need too to find a comfortable environment. So if you're fishing the morning after an evening of heavy storms and are having trouble finding fish in your favorite spot, don't panic. Try to locate the cleanest water you can in that area, the fish will probably be there. Back |
