Improved Hush Puppies

1 bag Hush puppy mix, store bought
1/4 cup Jalapeno peppers, minced
Buttermilk
Onions, minced (optional)

Most of the ingredients/spices are in the pre-mixes. Just chop up/mince about a 1/4 cup of jalapenos and onions if desired. Add buttermilk to get the right consistency. Heat your grease to 325 degrees. Use a teaspoon, not tablespoon and drop mix into hot grease. Brown on both sides.
