Delicious And Moist Pound Cake

3 cups Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
3 cups Sugar
2 sticks Butter
1/2 cup Shortening (no substitute)
5 Eggs
1 cup Milk
1 tbsp. Vannilla
1/3 cup Cocoa (optional)

Sift flour, baking powder and salt; cream margarine, shortening and sugar. 1/3 cup of cocoa may be sifted with flour to make chocolate pound cake. Add eggs one at a time beating with each. Add flour mixture alternately with milk and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into well greased tube pan. Line bottom with wax paper. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 ½ hours or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before taking from pan.
