Chewy Fruit Bars

1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Oil
1 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 cups Self rising flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Allspice
3/4 cup Candied cherries
3/4 cup Candied pineapple, chopped
1/2 cup Raisins
2 cups Pecans, chopped

Whip butter, oil and sugars together until light and fluffy with mixer, add eggs and vanilla, mix and add flour and spices. Fold in fruit, raisins and nuts. Spread in large jelly roll pan, greased and floured. (I sometimes add about a cup of dates, chopped). Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 to 35 minutes.
